The Yahoo! Store gives you a simple and inexpensive way of creating an on-line store. RetailEdge gives you an easy way of maintaining your Yahoo! Store. To export your data to the Yahoo! Store you simply need to assign an export code to the items you want on your Yahoo! Store. To assign an export code to an item, click on the item you in the inventory list and choose Modify. Then click on the Inventory 2 tab, and type in a code in Export/Report Code field. This export code can be anything that makes sense to you. Then when you want to export the items to the Yahoo! Store, choose Export from the Tools menu item. This will bring up the Export dialog box that will allow you to choose both the Source Table to export and the Export format (File Type). Choose Yahoo! Internet Store from the Export File Type combo box. Then either type in the File Name box the name of the file you want to create, or select a file to export to by clicking on the folder button. When you are finished press the Export button. RetailEdge will then display a filter screen allowing you to filter your export by any number of criteria (department, vendor, quantity, etc.). Choose Export/Report Code in the left-hand box and then type in your export code in the Export/Report Code field displayed on the left. RetailEdge will then create a CSV file and any pictures associated with the inventory will be placed in a ZIP file of the same name. You can then upload these items to your Yahoo! Store Department Name* Path Stock Number Code Description Name Memo Field Caption Retail Price Price Matrix Items** Options * Department Names are as defined in the Description field in the Department list. This creates a path on you Yahoo! Store so that the navigation buttons will mirror your store's department breakdowns. ** Matrix items will be exported with a base SKU as the Code. Any size runs will appear on the Yahoo! Store as an Option in a drop down combo box. Pictures for matrix items will be the pictures associated with the base stock number only.
