    Customer Reports data fields

    by peakskishop » Mon Sep 09, 2013 12:00 pm

I just wanted to suggest that Retail Edge change the customer reports so that the customers first and last name sort to their own separate data fields (that are also separate from their customer ID).

This would be ideal on the Address, Birthday , Email and Phone lists.

This way the lists can easily be exported to use in email marketing programs like Constant Contact that can customize each email to the customers first name (if you have it in it's own data field). Right now I can only export first and last name together, which does not create a professional personal greeting when imported to Constant Contact. "Dear Fred" is so much nicer than "Dear Fred Coriell". It would also make importing to contact lists (gmail, outlook or other) or mail merges in Word easier as well.

    Thank you!

I second that suggestion about separating first and last names in reports.

I really would like to see 1 unified Contact report like this which contained city, state, zip, phone, email First name & last name fields.

I would use it for every event we have.

You might want to try one of the Exports rather than a report if you are exporting data to an e-mail system like Constant Contact or Mail Chimp. These have all the fields separated making for a better import.
