    Can not find INI file

    by SweetNicholas » Wed Oct 12, 2011 12:28 am

We recently got attacked by some malware that incorporated a file shield program. We finally got around the virus and all applications are working except RetailEdge 8.2. When it is initializing, it can't find the INI file. I looked in the C:\Program Files\High Meadow Business Solutions\RetailEdge 8.2\Server\Data folder but can't seem to find it. Is there a way to restore this file without doing a complete uninstall/ installation?

The retailedge.ini file is not located in that directory. The quickest way to do it would be to reinstall RetailEdge from the CD you received when you purchased the program.

Ok, thank you. Will this cause all of the data since the last backup to be erased or should that still be stored on the PC?

We purposely don't uninstall or overwrite data on an install for this reason.
