RetailEdge 8.2.6 Release Notes

This release includes many new features for Modern Retail Web Integration, discount rules and adds or changes features based on user suggestions.

Added Features

1. New Discount Rule. Buy X Quantity Get Y Percent Off (Ex: Buy 20 items and get 10% off). This rule will allow consolidation of items and multiple lines with any quantity.

2. Increase performance on gift card look-ups for users with large amounts of transactions.

3. Changed filter screen to allow users to more effectively use scanners for entering items onto the filter screen. Highlighted button is now the Add button. This will allow the carriage return to not close the screen after a scan. Or to allow users to enter an item, press enter and then add another item, etc.

4. The Sales and Receiving tabs in the Inventory MGR now have check boxes to turn histories on and off. This will allow the sales manager to open more quickly when the item being displayed has a large sales history.

5. Modern Retail Integration now allows for a Coupon Code to be added to the sale so that you can make adjustments to the sale total in Modern Retail and have the sale downloaded to RetailEdge.

6. Modern Retail integration now allows product uploads to be limited to only the items that have changed since the last product upload. This will minimize the amount of items that are uploaded allowing for RetailEdge item quantities and changes to be uploaded to Modern Retail with greater frequency and not place as much of a load on the server.

7. For increased security, the following will now ask for ClerkIDs (improved security):Close, Account Pmt, Layaway Pmt, Layaway Cancel, Order Cancel.

8. Changed the RetailEdge Dashboard level requirement from Gold to Silver. Now users on the SMP can have the Dashboard functionality.

9. Instead of the field name of Project on the page style invoice RetailEdge now uses the Title CustID.

10. REPRINT on will now show on receipts when reprinted. This is required when Puerto Rico POS Certification for IVU LOTO

11. In an effort to reduce paper waste, RetailEdge will no longer print a credit card receipt for Debit Card transactions. The PIN used for these transactions acts as the customer,s signature. Debit cards used as credit cards will still require a signature and RetailEdge will print out the credit card signature receipt.

Fixes

1. Purging discount rules will now remove all the selected discount rules rather than requiring multiple passes.

2. Conversion from Version 7.5 to 8.2 now adds FROM store aliases to items in the TO store with same SKUs. This will allow stores to not have to re-tag items with same SKUs.

3. When adding items to Receiving and using the Tab key to move around, RetailEdge will now properly Matrix Definition associated with the item.

4. Modern Retail automatic timers now prevent overlapping sales downloads and product update procedures which can cause duplicate data posted in Modern Retail and RetailEdge.

5. Modern Retail timers now prevent duplication of product requests.

6. RetailEdge will now properly discount an item by pressing the F6 key after changing the price.

7. Merging customers will now properly merge existing e-mails as well as adding new ones.

8. Merging customers will now not overwrite existing customers card on file but will bring over old customer's card number if one does not exist.

9. Discounting a sale 100% will now display the "You Saved " section on the receipt.

10. Reprinting closings after a change in daylight savings will now properly display the closing time.

11. Discount rules with customer and inventory and use a department SKU set at $0.00 price, will now properly save discounted amount when recalling a saved sale.

12. If an item is Non-Entered or is a Department SKU, when recalling a saved sale the cost used will be as stored in the saved sale. If the item is a regular inventory item, then the recalled sale will use the current average cost for the item.

13. Non-entered items sold to a customer with a standard 10% discount will now be discounted from the value entered for the item on the Non-Entered item screen.

14. Added a validation to make sure that users do not sell and redeem the same gift card in the same transaction.

15. When multiple items are on a sale and one of the items has a price increase this item is not used when calculating the Total Saved on the receipt.

16. House Charge Interest Payments will no longer post $0 interest payments.

17. Modern Retail Integration will fail bringing down customer information if Sale validation fails.

18. The Terms field will now print out on purchase orders for purchase orders that only have negative quantities (returns to vendor, shrinkage, marketing POs, etc.)

19. Using either the hot-key Ctrl-T or the Tax Exempt check box when a customer is not associated with a sale will no longer be remembered for subsequent sales (Status will be cleared).

20. Discount rules will now be properly applied to random weight items. This means that if a discount rule applies to an item, the label should reflect the non-discounted amount and RetailEdge will properly calculate the weight of the item.

21. Modern Retail Integration will now properly handle a sale with more than one return.

22. Fixed error with Manual Weight Items Testing For Zero on the scale.

23. When recalling a sale RetailEdge will now properly display Loyalty dollar balances.

24. Lower portion of Sales Manager will no longer refresh to top record this will allow users to use scroll bar without refresh bringing them back to top record.
