Error Message: Index is Out Of Date

    by epeterson » Sat Feb 12, 2011 5:23 pm

Our electricity went off in the store on Saturday and came back on within 10 seconds. This happened while conducting a sale. When we went back into Retail Edge to continue the transaction we received the error message: Index is out of date. Table: c:\program files\retailedge 7.5\data\day_log.db.
This message keeps popping up and we had to resort to other means to finish the rest of the sales for the day.
Do we have a fix for this one?

You should try rebuilding the sales table index. You can do this from main RetailEdge menu by selecting Tools / Rebuild / Sales: Today's Sales Index. Hopefully this will solve the problem for you. If not, then you will need to call our office and request technical support.

BTW: In case you have not heard the news, as of March 31, 2011, we are ending all support for older RetailEdge versions. This includes RetailEdge versions such as 4.x (DOS), 6.0, 7.0, 7.5, and 8.0. Now is the time to start planning to upgrade your software. To help out, we are offering an upgrade "instant rebate".

I am having the same exact problem after the power went out. @epeterson did you ever find out a solution??

Or does anybody know how to fix this? When I go to rebuild table it says it is in use, but I have all tables closed out...
