To discount an item on the Sales Screen either click on the Sales menu, right click on the item, or press the Discount button and choose the appropriate discount type. You can discount: any one item in the Sales screen by a percentage amount, all existing items in the Sales screen by a percentage amount, discount the Complete Sale by a percentage amount or all items as a package dollar value. RetailEdge will keep a record of the discounted items and the amount of the discount in the transaction file. You can also discount a sale item at any time by directly changing the cost of the item in the Sales screen. Discounts will be shown on the customer's receipt. Hint: You can reset the discount on the Sales Screen at any time by discounting the Complete Sale to 0%
