To sell a gift certificate: Open the Sales Screen and add a customer to the sale. Then type in Gift (or the stock number you are using for your gift certificates) in the Stock Number field on the sales screen. Move the cursor over to the Quantity field, and put in the number of gift certificates you are selling. Move the cursor over to the Unit Price field and type in the price of the gift certificate being purchased. Add any other items you want to the sale and the press the Post Sale button. On the Payment Screen, type in the amount paid in the box by the appropriate payment media and press the Post Sale button (or press the plus (+) key for exact change). RetailEdge will then ask you to fill out who the Gift Certificate is from (who the gift certificate is being sold to) and who the gift certificate is being given to. Since you have already put a customer on the Sales Screen, RetailEdge will automatically fill in whom the gift certificate is from. Press the OK button. RetailEdge will then post the sale and print a receipt.
