We recently upgraded our computers to windows XP and there are some nice changes in the Retail Edge software as a result. One change we DONT like is that whenever a customer buys or redeems a gift certificate, after printing a receipt, RetailEdge prints the entire gift certificate balances/history for that customer. Since we use one customer number for unknown gift certificate recipients/purchasers, this is quite a long list that prints out every time. Any way to fix this?

The gift certificate section of the receipt can be "controlled" by setting the Receipt Options. To get to the Receipt Options form, do the following:

1) Select Tools / Options from the main menu.

2) Select the Receipt Status tab.

3) Click the "Type Style Receipt - Advanced Options" button.


Alternatively, you can check out RetailEdge 8.0. This release has more receipt options. More importantly, 8.0 introduces the concept of Gift Cards and has a Loyalty Program. To learn more about RetailEdge 8.0, please check out the following link:
