RetailEdge point of sale software already has a price calculator that allows you to calculate your retail price (or price level) based on margin. Margin is a very standard calculation for retail businesses and we find that most people who want to calculate their inventory pricing as a percentage markup don't usually have that much of a problem with making the switch.

For instance, Retail margin is defined as 1-Cost/Retail. If have an item that is marked up 65%, then all you need to do is calculate what this means as margin by the following calculation.

1-1/1.65= 0.3939 or 40%. So if you want a 65% margin all you have to do is use a 40% margin in the price calculator.

That being said, we try to be responsive to customer requests and add features as they are requested. So I have added this to the list of suggestions and this will be evaluated for future development. We are always making changes to the program and have many feature releases during the year.
