If you want to cancel a layaway: Find the original sale in Layaway Sales by choosing Layaway Sales from the Sales Management menu item on the Register menu. Search for the sale you need to correct and press the Cancel button. If any money has been applied to the Layaway, RetailEdge will ask you whether you want to return the payment or issue a credit for the layaway. If you press the Yes button, RetailEdge will bring up the Payment Screen and allow you to either return the money as change or apply the money to the customer's credit. Note: Unlike regular sales, you can cancel sales from past sales session. RetailEdge will treat the cancelled layaway as a return since the original layaway sale is treated as a sale on the day the layaway occurred.
