A few questions:
1. When did this start happening?
2. What are your Workstation settings in RetailEdge?
3. What printers are in your Windows Printers list?
Let us know.
You might check your other settings to see what other device might be on COM1.
1. You can check your printers from Windows Devices and Printers (or Printers and Faxes) depending on which version of Windows you are running. Then right click one of the printers and choose Properties. Then press the Port tab and see what printer(s) or devices are assigned COM1.
2. In RetailEdge you should have the cash drawer set to "driven by Receipt Printer"
