The quick answer is to install a printer. That is, install a Windows printer driver. You don't need to physically have a printer attached to your laptop to do this.
Go to the Windows Start Button and then choose Printers and Faxes. Select Add Printer. You should be be able to use most of the default installed drivers. A good generic choice would be the HP LaserJet 5P.
