RetailEdge can create Discount Rules that can be applied to inventory items, customers or both and will automatically discount items as they are entered into the Sales Screen. This will allow you to better manage promotions and date-based sales discounts.
Discount rules do not markdown your inventory. They are sales based and are only applied as items are put on the Sales Screen. When multiple rules apply, RetailEdge will apply the rule with the largest discount.
Discounts are re-applied after you make a change to the sale by entering a customer, inventory item, coupon, etc. So if you enter a customer or coupon after items have been entered into the sales screen, the appropriate discounts will be applied.
