    Don't have an internet connection to get RetailEdge Updates

    RetailEdge will automatically check our website to see if there is an update available, download and install them if you have a connection to the internet. Typically this should be done with a high speed internet connection since the download is about 6MB. If you don't have an internet connection we can burn a CD for you and send you the update. However, there is a charge for doing this. It would be less expensive in the long run to get a USB thumb drive, find an internet connection, copy the update to the thumb drive and then manually install the update on your system.

    Here is the procedure to manually retrieve the update:

    Download the file from:

    ftp://ftp.highmeadow.com/pub/Updates/RE ... ge_8_0.zip.

    If you can't remember the URL, the zip file can be found from going to our site at http://www.retailedge.com and going to the Updates page. The file is only around 6 MB so should not take that long to download with a high speed (DSL, Cable) internet connection.

    Once you have downloaded the update, you should do the following:

    1. Open the compressed ZIP folder and copy or drag the RetailEdge program to the desktop on the computer that has RetailEdge installed.

    2. Copy the RetailEdge program to the installation directory (typically c:\program files\high meadow business solutions\retailedge 8.0 folder)

    This will give you the latest update. You can make sure that it is working by going to About from the RetailEdge Help menu. This will tell you what version you are running.
