What POS Peripherals with RetailEdge work with

by RetailEdge Moderator » Mon Aug 27, 2007 10:58 am

RetailEdge supports OPOS and so will work with any receipt printer, cash drawer, pole display, barcode label printer or scale that supports OPOS. However, OPOS drivers are hard for the typically user to install and use, so RetailEdge point of sale software works with a number of devices by either using the Windows drivers or by talking directly to the devices. You can see the most current list of support devices by choosing Devices from the Tools Menu in RetailEdge. Listed below is the current list of devices.

Newer computers may not have traditional PS2 ports so it is safer to use the USB. Information should be sent to RetailEdge without any characters inserted into the information encoded into the barcode and a carriage return added to the end.
