No. RetailEdge's receiving file is a temporary holding area for items that are received that allow you print tags for all items and quantities being received and allow you to make changes to item information and quantities before updating your inventory with incorrect information.

There have been a number of suggestions that we allow multiple receiving files. This would either be a receiving session for each clerk or perhaps workstation. This would allow one user or workstation users to receive items at one workstation and another set at another workstation. It would also allow users to print tags and update the inventory from their particular "session" without bumpinig into what other users might be doing. In an effort to keep the program easier to use, we have avoided doing this.

If you can't control users bumping into each others' receiving through store policies, you can always create temporary Purchase Orders for the workstation or clerk. Then you add to the items being received to a Purchase Order, print tags from the PO and then when you are sure nobody is going to using receiving, quickly receive the PO and Update.
