    Export to QuickBooks Issue

    by sam » Wed Mar 07, 2007 3:03 am

I exported the first 6 days of this month for one of our stores. Everything was perfect except for the March 5th. It was $60 short on the Sales account posting. The only thing I could see that was unique was the sale of a $30 Gift Certificate. So I looked and found the sale of $30 Gift Certificate at our other store and exported the data. It to was $60 short on the Sales account posting.

I double checked all the accounts listed in RE and QB to make sure they are the same. I did not find anything wrong. What should I check next?

This was resolved off-line with Tech Support.

The issue revolved around how gift card liabilities are exported to QB and how accounts in RetailEdge match up with accounts in QB.

Suggestion for other folks having QB export questions: Try doing single transaction days (closings) in RetailEdge and then exporting them to QB. This will simplify trying to match accounts and will help determine how the data is flowing from one product to the other.
