    smtp error

    Hi Guys
    I figured out all the smtp settings but keep getting this error message.
    140770fc:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:unknown protocol
    Let me know if there is a trick.

    Hello
    I've tried ports 25 and 587, smtp.live.com for my hotmail account, smtp.gmail.com for my gmail account and nothing seems to work. Any clue? We are having luck with the internet now that we have a new modem and a new router. I just need my island to send email since we dont' have a printer for it.

    For your Hotmail Account try unchecking the toggle for Use SSL with SMTP Server, I believe their documentation references it prefers using TLS.

    For Google would you happen to be using Two Factor Authentication? If so you will need to set up an Application Password for RetailEdge to use in order For that to work.
