Tip No. 027 - Using House Charges for Loyalty

by RetailEdge Moderator » Tue Aug 19, 2014 10:16 am

These days it's all about loyalty. RetailEdge has a lot of loyalty program features and ways to keep your customers happy and returning. The House Charge feature can be another way enhance the customer experience.

RetailEdge's house charges allow you to bill your customers and then invoice them later. House charges can:

Increase your per ticket sales. House charges make it easier for your customer to spend more. Hey it's free until the end of the month so why shouldn't they get that extra muffin with their coffee or drink with their lunch.

Provide perks for loyal customers. Who doesn't like walking out the door, not waiting in line and saying "put it on my account".

Save money by consolidating charges. Like most of our RetailEdge users you are probably looking for ways to reduce your credit card charges. Since House Charges consolidate the customer's billing, you only have one charge at the end of the month instead of multiple charges with multiple transaction fees.

Bill large jobs with deposits. For businesses that might have larger jobs (e.g., landscaping, etc.) you can take a deposit, put the rest of the job on a house charge so that the customer can be billed when the job is completed.
