What is Apple Pay?

Apple Pay is Apple's secure version of NFC (Near Field Communications). This is technology that has been around for awhile (gas station fobs, Google Wallet). Apple has added some security features and built the technology into their new iPhone 6 to allow iPhone owners to pay for items with their phone by quickly waving the phone over a payment terminal.
