The RetailEdge PICS - Physical Inventory Collection System iphone application has been updated. The updated application now provides auditory feedback for a completed scan. In addition the new update now has the default option of setting up and waiting for another scan when the previous scan is complete. Making the process much faster.

The PICS application is free and will automatically create a file that can be e-mailed back to store's computer for import into the RetailEdge PICs file. Making it more affordable and easy to do your physical inventory process.

The primary function of the PICS application is to do physical inventory. However it can also be used to scan items from a remote location when receiving goods or for scanning items on the floor for adding them to a purchase order.

Although the PICs application uses the iOS device's camera to scan the barcodes, handheld wireless scanners are available that will attach iPad or iPhone making it faster scan items into the PICs application. If you are interested, please contact sales@retailedge.com.
