The RetailEdge Portable Inventory Collections System (PICS) allows you to
reduce the time it takes for you to perform physical inventories and inventory
spot checks. The PICS allows you to take information scanned into a remote
handheld scanning device (like Percon's PT2000 Top Gun and Symbols SPT1500 with
addon inventory management software data). and transfer the information into
RetailEdge. You can then quickly change your inventory item quantities to the
scanned quantities. The PICS can also allow you to scan items and quickly add
them to your receiving list or add them to a purchase order.
Note: Another advantage to using a device like the SPT1500 (essentially a Palm
Pilot with a scanner on the end) is that you can download your RetailEdge
customer database into it and then use it to schedule appointments with your
customers.
RetailEdge will also accept an data in CSV and Tab Delimited formats.
