RetailEdge along with a
PC Charge allows you to process credit
cards on your computer. PC Charge is a credit card processing software that
performs the many same operations on your computer as the standard credit card
terminal. Processing credit cards through software:

minimizes errors
and increases efficiency by eliminating the need for double entry,

eliminates the need
for a separate credit card terminal,

allows you to print
transaction reports which otherwise must be purchased from the processing
company, and

can speed up the
time it takes to get approvals because you can contact some processors via a
TCP/IP (direct Internet) connection.
How it Works
When a sale is posted, RetailEdge communicates with PC Charge and sends PC
Charge the credit card information and the amount of the sale. PC Charge then
communicates with the credit card processor, and gives the authorization
information to RetailEdge. RetailEdge will then complete the sale (or not
process the sale depending on the status of the approval). This is all done
seamlessly without any user interaction with PC Charge at the time of sale.
RetailEdge working with PC Charge will currently accept MasterCard, Visa,
American Express and Discover. With the Card on File Option RetailEdge can also
keep credit card information on file for a customer.
