Easier way to update PO item prices

    by DAVE » Sun Feb 09, 2020 11:40 am

There is no easy way to update/modify prices of items on purchase orders, other then either editing each line item (time consuming), or deleting them, updating price in inventory manager, and then reentering on the Purchase order (error prone and time consuming). It would be helpful to have a better way to do this.

There are a number of ways to edit price and costs on a Purchase Order.

You can discount the PO through the inventory | Purchase Order | Discount PO menu item. This can be discounted by total PO percentage or a Total Amount.

As of 8.2.64 you can discount the line item costs on a PO by right clicking the Purchase Order line(s) and discounting by a percentage amount.

Or getting to your question (I think), you can while receiving the purchase order, the grid where you edit your received quantities is editable. So you can change both cost and Price1 here.

All of the cost adjustments done in this manner won't affect the last costs of the items (think one time discounts for pre-seasons, volume discounts, etc.). Price 1 adjustments will be updated in inventory when the items are updated in receiving.

    Hope that helps
