The way it works now is similar to how it worked before with the exception that it will automatically switch over to the payment method used without asking for confirmation.
So you should:
1. setup your payment methods in RetailEdge with the card type associated with each payment method.
2. Put the payment method you accept most often at the top of the list.
3. Every time someone wants to purchase with a credit card, you select this payment method. RetailEdge will automatically switch to the proper payment method if it detects another payment method is used.
Apple pay works no differently from any other payment method. You will tell RetailEdge it is a credit card, and then the customer instead of swiping their credit card would just places their iPhone on the Genius. The phone will then ask them to select the card and put their thumb on the fingerprint biometric reader. The process from your perspective will be no different. Next time someone comes in and asks, give it a try.

What about apple pay, and how does it work? do we need to set up a payment type for it? and how does the customer use it?
