How can I create a report that is filterable by vendor and date range as well as sorted by department which shows the description and quantity of each item sold?

We manufacture and sell items using licensed artwork and pay royalties for the artwork quarterly. Each artist is entered as a vendor. The royalty amount varies by department. The report must be grouped by department and show the item description as well as the quantity sold during the date range.

Ideally, the report would also show the date each item was sold; and does not need to have Cost, Disc., Margin or % Sales columns. Displaying the Vendor's name and/or ID number would also be helpful.

The Best Sellers report is very close but does not appear to be able to be grouped by department.
