We've been putting invetory into the regular database and using the Training database to do some practise. During a shift change, we never went back to the regular database to do the inventory. Well, about 250 items got added to the Training database instead. We did a back-up of the Training database and restored it into the regular.

Since the back-up has everything, is there anyway to get rid of the sales that were transferred? We won't start using the register until next week, but we don't know if this is going to mess up our paperwork.

There is currently no way to get rid of the test sales in the training database other than voiding them. You can void sales anytime as long as the sales session is still open (i.e. you have not done a closing).

Assuming the data in the training database is "good data", then things will probably be fine. In the future, when you run sales reports, you will filter the sales for a given range of dates. You'll be able to set your starting date to when your store actually opened. This will exclude your test sales that happen prior to opening.

FWIW, another option, after discovering the mistake, might have been to export the new items from the training database and then importing those items into the "real" database. This could have been done using the REDI export feature and then importing the file into the good database.
