Hi.

I'm assisting a friend with a shop using Retail Edge 7.5. he purchased the upgrade to 8.2 and we've converted and moved the db to his new PC.

Problem is that he doesnt remember his Server password (it was established over 5 years ago). We will call support on Monday, but wonding if anyone can suggest the proper method for us to get help on this topic. if there is anything we can do over the weekend please suggest.

We've tried the defaults suggested in the book, as well as substituted older version numbers in the password with no luck.

There was no concept of a server password in RetailEdge 7.5. So one of the defaults should work. Try RetailEdge8.0, RetailEdge8.1 or RetailEdge8.2. Remember they are case sensitive and no spaces.
