    Inventory Manager--allocated

    How do numbers get into allocated and how would you use the field? Help is not much help.

    Also has this changed on the search results In the Inventory Manager?

    Typically inventory moves from on-hand to allocated when an item is associated with a layaway or an open order. When these type of sales are posted/closed, the allocated values go back to zero.
