The shortcut buttons that says Quick Discount (5%,10%,15%,etc.) should not be limited for current rows only. For example, if you select a Discount Operation named Discount Complete Sale and press the 10% button should work. But currently is not the case because in only limited to current rows.

We now that if you enter the discount percentage manually on Enter Discount Percent field works, but sales people most of the time doesnt read properly the message below the Quick Discount which is (Current Row) and press the button of 10%, 15% etc. and of course it doesnt work. To avoid this situation, and speed up the sales process I think this would be a good enhancement.

I think the quick discount buttons were trying to be just that, quick. And with the discount rules, if you are discounting many different items that you would either be discounting the items that you want through the discount rules (by department, vendor, etc.) or by the complete sale discount rule.

The problem with a quick discount is that if you discount an entire group of items we want people to be really sure that that is what they want to do. Discounts are additive and so you can easily discount a discount if you are not careful.

We usually err on the side of caution when adding new features. But we will consider this for a future release. But in the interim you should see whether the discount rules work better. This requires no work for the clerks so they don't have to think about what item is discounted and by how much any more and they can be time based and so they will automatically expire when they are done.
