Is it possible to display a slightly different “Description” on the “Quick Lookup” keys than what will show on the receipt? For example, I’d like the QL Display to show: “Bedding Pack $2.49” but I don’t need the price to print on the receipt as it will be there already. This will help staff recognize the product not only by description but also by price.

The best way to go about doing that would be to create the item in question as a package item. Even though this is really only one item the package will work. This way you can make a second description that shows up on the quick list and receipt but also deducts the item from your inventory properly.

To create a package go to Inventory/Packages
Then add the package ID and then put the description in. This is what will show on the quick list. Depending on what you want the receipt to look like will depend on which boxes you select on the first tab for the receipt printing model.
Next add your item and then any add ons if necessary and then save it.
Once you do that go back to your sales screen and edit your quick list and choose the find by Package option and then continue on as you would for setting up the quick list.
