Heather,
Thanks for the suggestion. You are correct that the current discount rules in RetailEdge don't hit until you reach the prescribed limits. But just to clarify for everyone, there are a couple of discount rules that might apply and this is how they work.
a. Buy X, Get Y at Z percent off. Discounts Y Items at Z Percent off after you have sold X items. (e.g., Buy 5 get 1 at 50% off.). So if I set the X at 5 and the Y at 1 and Z at 7%, then RetailEdge will sell 5 at the regular price $14.95 and then the 6th at $13.90.
b. Mix and Match. Discounts multiple quantities of items to a certain dollar value. (e.g., 3 for $1.00, etc.). So if You set your Buy X quantity to 6 and then your Y Amount to 83.70 (13.95 * 6), then you would have all the items discount to $13.95 for ALL item on the sales screen once you hit 6. Which I think is closer to what you want. But it will again go to $14.95 on the 7th item until 12 is hit.
We also have what is called a Split Quantity on inventory that will allow you to always have a reduced price. But this is more of a 3/$1.00 or 7/$25.00 type of splitting scenario.
As with all new RetailEdge features we try to to step into them slowly. We knew that there were hundreds of different discount scenarios and we have heard of 20+ more that we hadn't even thought about since the feature was implemented.
This is something that we have heard about from a number of customers already and the more we do the higher its priority becomes.
Keep them coming.

I can't seem to do this with the discount rules that are there. For buy x get y at z discount, they then have to buy sets of six to get the discount, so when they hit the sixth, 1-6 are now discounted to 13.95; however, if they buy one more, it is back to 14.95.
Seems like it would be a common request, .. maybe there is a way to do it but I just haven't been able to figure it out?
Thank you,
Heather
