I don't see a option to print a inventory report filtered by Vendor or Department with last cost or cost. I look in reports, Items, and I can print physical, Price List, or Price List(po pricing) but they all show only retail prices. I sometimes need to work on a order at home, my Internet is not fast enough to log into work, so I take home reports. It is nice to know last cost when trying to compare pricing from multiple vendors.

Most inventory reports should have a cost on them. Cost shown on these reports will be average cost. You might not be drilling down enough. Try choosing Inventory|Items and then Items again. These are the reports that will give you what you want.

How about a report showing LAST cost, not average. I might have been carrying the same item for 10 years, over that time the cost may have doubled or trippled. I need to know the last purchase cost, just like it would show me from the inventory manager.

No there is no Inventory report showing the last cost. However, you can run a Receiving by Items Report that will give you the last received cost for item. Last cost in your inventory is actually the last received cost. This report is sorted by Vendor and Department and so might give you what you need. You can also do a detailed report that will give you some additional historical information if you need it.

This is actually the first request since RetailEdge changed from a last cost inventory valuation to average cost that we have heard this request. Maybe you can give us a little more information about what you are trying to see and we can either potentially add the report or steer you towards a report that will give you what you need.

If I carry a item that depending on price is purchased from multiple distributors, and I am getting ready to do some orders while on mt days off. I need to know what the last cost of that item was to decide which distributor to order it from. The average cost won't do me much good, as it might be on special from company "A" where I might have got my last shipment from company "B", and the shipment before that might have been company "C"

You might consider using the Receiving tab on the inventory manager. This will list the Last cost and the vendor the item was received from. This will allow you quickly see which vendors you purchased the item for and the last costs associated with these item for each vendor. Then you can just press the copy to PO button and add the item to the PO you are creating for the vendor.
