RetailEdge 8.2.5 Release Notes

This release includes mostly features required for NTEP Certification of Conformance and a few minor display fixes.

Added Features

1. NTEP Certification of Conformance.  The National Conference on Weights and Measures issues an NTEP Certificate of Conformance following successful completion of an evaluation of a device. It indicates that the device(s) described in the Certificate is/are capable of meeting applicable requirements of the NIST Handbook 44.  This is required for all installations that have attached scale devices.

2.  Added Split Pricing.  This allows users to have 3 for $1.00 type pricing.  This is different from the discounting rules.  Although discount rules will accomplish 3 for $1.00 pricing, discount rules will not apply the discounting until the quantity is reached.  Split pricing is applied at any quantity regardless of whether or not the quantity threshold has been reached.

3. Serial Number returns can now be performed at any location instead of just the selling location.

4.  Added RetailEdge Open Orders to the layaway adjustment in the Quickbooks Export Integration.

5.  Added/Changed the Web Intgration pricing structure for Modern Retail to allow more flexibility for pricing changes.

MR Price 2 -> Price Was
MR Price 3 -> Price Levels 1-5 (previously only 2-5).

This allows you to have standard discounting in the store (Was/Now) on your website or have discounting structures on your website that are different from your store.

6. Changed Discount Rules so that only one Buy X, Get Y at Z Percent Off or Mix and Match discount rule can be applied to an item at a time.

Fixes

1.   After canceling a credit card partial payment original payments made will now be properly displayed.

2.    RetailEdge can only run one Dashboard posting at a time and only one Web Integration posting at a time.

3.    Payment Screen for Touch Screen now correctly displays Still Due when recalling through Advanced Button.

4.    Tape Style closing when printing a detail and summary report will now properly terminate the report.

5.    Quickbooks Account mapping fields on the Location Settings will now properly adjust width.

6.    Web Integration Log viewer will now properly display when blank value.

7.    Changed numerous forms and screens to allow them to be properly displayed when Windows display settings are set to increase sizes.

8.    RetailEdge will now start in the event that the internet connection is down and the Windows timeout settings don't properly timeout.
