Are there some reports that calculate sales effectiveness?

We have a number of retail reports that can help determine sales effectiveness. These reports can help you determine everything from staffing needs during certain days/times to how effective your clerks are at up-selling to whether you need a new register to handle your sales volume.

From the report selector choose Sales|Sales by Date| Sales Density. This will break out your sales by Day over a give Date Range. This was created to help people with Staffing requirements and will show Total Sales, Average Sales, Number of Tickets and the Percent Total for a given hour on a given day. This might help you determine if on a particular day, if you have need of the extra register on a particular time. This will allow you to see your ring up rate (transactions/hour).

This will not show you items/per hour. However, the Sales Performance by Date report might give you more information. This report can be generated by Sales|Sales by Date| Sales Performance by Date in the report selector. This report will give you more Ticket information and will give you quantity, average SKU count, Ave Ticket Item Qty, Average Ticket Amount and Average Profit, for the selected period. You can group this report by Day, Hour (which is what I think you want), Day of Week, Month, Quarter, and Year.
