I was thinking of running a promo, in which for every lets say $20 a customer spends in the month of December, they get $1.00 Loyalty money in the Month of January.

Example ( Customer X Spends $194.95 and receives $18.00 in Loyalty $)

What I was wondering is, if there is a way to Purge all customers loyalty dollar amounts on Feb 1st? This way, it's not an ongoing program, just a monthly special so to speak, and you have to spend your loyalty $ in January, or you loose it. I haven't done it yet. but I am assuming that once you Batch the dollars they are added to the customer ID until you batch again or they use them.

Also, what are the accounting responsibilities for a loyalty program?

Not currently, but we are incorporating this feature in 8.1.11. This should be out next Tuesday. But keep your eyes on the announcements to make and you will be notified of the next release when you start RetailEdge in the morning.
