I'm assembling kits to sell this holiday season. To keep inventory straight, I imagine using the Packages feature in RE will be a good fit for my shop. However, I can't find how to print price labels for the kits, or even an Item ID, for that matter.

Can you instruct me how best to quickly/easily ring up these kits at the point of sale?

There is no way to print price labels for a package. This is on the list. However, the key field for a Package is the Package ID. So to make the packages easy to sell you can either:

1. Name the package something simple like P1, P2, P3, etc. RetailEdge's Sales Screen will automatically search Package IDs regardless of the lookup criteria set on the Sales Screen.

2. Use the new Touch Screen Sales Screen. Then you can can create a section or sections dedicated to packages. Then if someone came up with a package, you could have the clerk touch (click with the mouse if you don't have a touch screen) the proper package button. The touch screen allows you to also scan like you normally do, so that you can scan, scan, touch, scan, touch, etc.

Both these ways should provide you with easy ways to sell packages.

We use the quicklist for packages at this point, but having a way to print a label would be helpful.
When you add to the quicklist there is an option to find Package ID
