Zebra TLP 2844 Rat Tail Jewelry Labels

by RetailEdge Moderator » Mon Sep 21, 2009 11:10 am

To help out our Jewelry Store Customers we have created a new label definition for Rat Tail Labels. RetailEdge can already print a number of small label sizes for the jewelry industry. However, if you need to have the Rat Tails, you will need to do the following:

    1. Purchase the Zebra TLP2844 label printer.
    2. Install the ZDesigner driver.
    3. The ZDesigner does not come with any pre-defined label stocks so you will need to import them. You can do this by:
    a. Downloading the Stock Import file from our FTP Site at ftp://ftp.highmeadow.com/pub/Support/pr ... ilEdge.drs
    b. Importing the downloaded file into the Z-Designer Driver. This is done by
    i. locating the driver in the Printers Folder in the Control Panel.
ii. Right click the Driver and choosing properties.
iii. Press the Printing Preferences Button on the General Tab
    iv. Choose Import/Export Settings.
    v. Press the Import Button and import the downloaded file.
    c. Download the SQL file for RetailEdge that will change the definitions to match the new stocks created in the driver at
    ftp://ftp.highmeadow.com/pub/Support/pr ... attail.sql
    d. Run the SQL by choosing SQL Runner from the Tools menu and selecting the downloaded SQL file.

We don't supply the Rat Tail labels as they are such a specialty item. However you can purchase them from http://www.elabeling.com Part Number EL603N-1. If you search their site for part EL603X-1 and then select that you are using a Zebra printer you will find the item. You will need to purchase Resin Ribons as this label only handles resin ribbons.
