we are getting ready for a sale, which will have coupons for multiple items. Is there a way to create a inventory Item named coupon "a" with a amount of -$5.00. We could post the coupon at the register and clerks would scan it when the item was purchased. when the coupon is scanned it would deduct $5.00 from the total. We would have different coupons, one for each item.
Example: Coupon pants -$5.00
Coupon T-shirts -$2.00
The coupon item would be non taxable and deduct from the total of the sale like a payment item.

If you want something automatically put on the RetailEdge Sales Screen with a negative, you might want to try a package. Packages can let you put negatives in them for just this reason. This way you can even associate the "negative" coupons with particular items.
