Vendor/Dept/Class Sales reports should show $0 amounts

I believe these sales summary reports currently do not show a vendor, dept or class if there have been no sales during the filtered period. problem with this is it makes it very difficult to merge or cut and paste this data from the RE export file, in xls, lets say into a new spreadsheet and build into a single report, as the data rows will not line up correctly. I believe in this particular case, RE should report the 0 dollars.
(as an added noted, if RE was able to create a spreadsheet format report - for example, Dept or class or vendor or items as rows and time periods, like jan, feb, march, april, may, etc as columns the above would not be as important - and you would have one heck of a useful, concise, single report!!)

By design most RetailEdge reports do not show $0 sales amounts. Many users have accumulated lots of vendors over the years (one user has 500+). A report with all of the zero values would really create a long report with information that might not be that useful.

I guess the case could be made to have this user purge some of the vendors. But I believe they actually use these vendors periodically.

On the monthy report suggestion, are you asking for something similar to the sales by month compound report but with dollar values? And with the category summary reports as well?

    Let us know.
