How do you compare to QuickBooks POS

by RetailEdge Moderator » Wed Apr 29, 2009 9:27 am

This one is easy. More features for the money.

    1) The "POS Basic 8.0 add a seat" option is priced at $720 (SRP) and $800 for the first workstation. That means a two workstation system is $1,520 vs. $675 for RetailEdge.

    2) The "POS Pro 8.0 add a seat" is even worse: $1,080 (SRP). That's $2,280 vs $675 for two workstations.

    3) Multi-store comparison.

Two one workstation locations: $3,040 vs. $,1850 for RE.
Two two workstation locations: $5,920 vs. $2,300 for RE.

RetailEdge provides real-time automatic synchronization between stores. QBPOS does not.

    4) Merchant Services: RetailEdge gives you the flexibility to use either Payment Processing Inc (PPI) or Mercury Payment Systems (MPS) or PCCharge. If you compare the on-going rates of Intuit's Merchant Service, with either one I think you will find that RetailEdge will save you money going forward. Both PPI and MPS will be happy to give you rate quote analyses.

    5) RetailEdge comes with 90 days of free technical support to get you up and running.

Compare the features, the initial cost, the on-going costs of running QuickBooks POS with RetailEdge and I think you will see that RetailEdge gives you better overall package.
