What Pole Display would be best to use and why?

The most common pole display we sell is the Logic Controls PD3000 or PD6000. These pole displays support the scrolling message display in RetailEdge. The Epson does not. The POS-X will support scrolling.

The difference between the 6000 and the 3000 is character height. Some people like the larger display (11.5 mm vs. 5 mm). Personal preference mostly. However, I have heard that sometimes people mount them in back of the counter so that you really have to have the larger display in order to read it. There is also a TD3000 (Table Display) which is the same thing without the Pole. Some people think that poles are a little intrusive and it makes them look like a c-store. So the table display is a good alternative. If you want more information on them you can go to

We hear periodically that certain states are requiring displays for retail businesses. I think this is really for fraud and to allow the customer to see how much they are paying for each item and the total. This prevents unscrupulous retailers from not applying an advertized discount etc.

All this being said RetailEdge point of sale software supports lots of different devices and most of them can be setup to emulate one of the ones we have already created definitions for. So if you have a preference or find one that you like better we probably can support it.
