The logo for Tape Style receipts is typically specified in the printer. Most thermal tape style printers (like the Epson T88 and the Star TSP 100 and 600 series printers) have utilities or drivers that support the downloading of an image into the printer. This allows for quicker printing of receipts. So rather than RetailEdge sending some bitmap to the printer each time (or as some other programs do it), print the logo for the next receipt at the end of the last receipt, we simply say to the printer, print the logo you have stored.

The logo at the bottom is typically used for couponing. For instance you can store multiple coupon logos in the Star TSP printer and have the driver rotate which one is used.
