How to search serial numbers

We are having a big raffle and I would like to sell the tickets via retail edge instead of just using a 'dumb' metal box. There would be an item made for a ticket, and each ticket sold would have a 'serial number' associated with it. Each sale of tickets would be associated with a customer. Seems like it's all well and good.

However, when it comes raffle time, how can I search for the particular 'serial number' that is drawn?

Oh, and when I mean 'search for serial number drawn', I mean to search for which sale the serial number is associated with. From there I can see what customer was associated with the sale.

You can seach for a particular ticket in a serial number report. Choose Sales|Sales from the Report Viewer and then select the Serial Numbers Report. Select a Sales Date range and a serial number. This will list the serial number, date, customer, and ticket. You can then view any more details from the customer manager or inventory manager.
