We're doing inventory, and I've noticed a change in the physical inventory report (reports/inventory/items/physical) from 7.5 to 8.0.

The report no longer displays the Item ID for the inventory items to be counted as it did in 7.5. It's very time consuming to count inventory on tagged items when the item ID printed on the tag isn't shown on the report.

Is there a setting in 8.0 I need to update to show this? I've noticed the lack of this column in other reports, too, but it seems to me to be the most painful when counting inventory.

Yes the Item Number (or ItemID in 8.0) does not show up on the Physical Inventory Report. I will add this to the suggestions . However, there is different way of doing physicals in V8.0 that I think will help. Choose Edit from the Inventory|PICs menu item in RetailEdge. Then press the Add button. This will display a form to allow you to enter the item you are counting to the Physical Inventory Control (PICs) List. You can enter these items as either an Item Number, Stock Number or UPC code. RetailEdge will convert the entered value to the correct item and add it to the PICs List. If you have mistyped the value, RetailEdge will also let you know, because you will not see a description value in the list. Once entered into this list, you can run reports on shrinkage, differentials, comparison and exceptions. You will then be able to update your inventory with the values in the PICs list.

You can also use the PICs list for creating sales, receiving off of a PO or packing list, creating transfers or POs.
