I would like to see the 4 lines for entering a receipt message replaced with a textbox. Our return policy is more than 4 lines long.

I tried entering a really long text line on one of the lines and it just got cut off at 100 characters. I don't have a receipt printer hooked up to my home computer so I can't see if that line will wrap, but it doesn't look like it from printing to a full page.

I'm going to load the demo or RetailEdge at the store this weekend and try it from there.

Do you have another suggestion for a work around?

save the paper, post the return policy by the pos system, put on the bottom of the receipt, "return policy is located at the register"

Good idea. Ever since we added the return policy to the receipt, it's added an extra 2 inches to the print out.
