I would like to be able to change the discount percentage directly on the Items tab of the Sales Screen. It would be more flexible to do that instead of using the Discount (F6) button.

That way I can choose to discount 5 different SKUs at the time of sale instead of using doing all of nothing or selecting the row, hitting F6, entering discount, hitting Enter, and repeating 4 more times. I'd like to be able to select the item, enter the discount, down arrow, discount, down arrow, etc.

I will add this to the the suggestion list. I am not sure what priority it will take because it is not something that a lot of people have asked for. By pressing the F6 button you can discount:

1. Any One Item in the Sales screen by a percentage amount,
2. All Existing Items in the Sales screen by a percentage amount,
3. Discount the Complete Sale by a percentage amount,
4. All items as a Package dollar value or,
5. All items by a set Coupon amount.

You can always direct price override on the sales screen as well and then do the arrow down, change price, arrow down etc.

If you give us more information about the type of business you are trying to use this for and why doing this way makes more sense to you, I can add this to the suggestion as well.

If you give us more information about the type of business you are trying to use this for and why doing this way makes more sense to you, I can add this to the suggestion as well.

We run a pet supply store. This month we are running a special for 20% off of litter and a brand of cat food cans. In QBPOS, when we run sales like this, we just click on the Discount % field in the sale screen and enter the discount percentage.

I don't like QBPOS interface for price levels and I didn't start looking into price levels until after we had nearly 7000 items in our inventory. They don't have a good tool to mass edit or fix price levels. They also don't have a time based sale feature -- I know you guys are looking into that for RetailEdge. I would love to find something that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get that sort of feature.

So, what we do, we just enter the discount, manually, at the time of sale. I would really like to get away from doing that. I could use price levels, so long as those could be percentage based. Then if you increase the price of the product, the sale price increases, but still remains at 20% off or what ever it's set at.

I do like your F6 Discount screen, but if you've already rang up most of the sale or just need to discount 5 items on a 10 item sale it becomes more time consuming.

What about adding a feature to where you can hit CTRL and click w/ the mouse to select multiple items at once? Then if you want to discount them all at once w/ the same % it works.

We have our monthly specials set up on the price level 1, as the sale price. Rings up automatically. All we're responsible for doing is changing the specials at the end of the month to something else.
