Is this possible? I'd like to be able to have a note come up on the screen (just like when a customer comes in, I can put "say hey" or something...) when we sell an item. Such as, asking if they'd need something to go along with this item, etc etc.

I haven't found a way to do this, is it possible? It would need to come up each time the item is scanned to be sold.

We don't have an automatic not popup on inventory. However, if you want to have the clerk prompted to ask if you want something to go along with another item, that is what addons are for.

If there is an addon associated with a particular item, the list of addons will be displayed after entering the item on the sales screen. Addons are useful when you need to always sell particular items when you sell another item. For instance you always need to sell a cable with a particular printer. Or if you simply want to prompt your sales staff to ask the customer whether they want a particular addon item at the time of sale.

To add an inventory addon to an item

1. Edit the item you want to associate an addon item with.

2. Press the Addons tab on the Edit Inventory screen.

3. Press the Add button.

4. Search for the addon item and once you have found it select the item from the list press the Ok button.

5. Continue to add as many addons to the list as you wish.

6. Adjust the position of the Addons in the list as they will appear on the sales screen by pressing the Up or Down button.

I like that, but I'm not wanting something add sales. I want notes to pop up, like a reminder to my employee. If it's possible anyways.

Good suggestion but this would require a data change and so probably would not be included in any maintenance release for 8.0
