What do I need to do as a Multi-Location Business

All the same things a single store does for compliance. The difference is that you need to make your multi-location synchronization process with RECON secure as well. Even though the RECON communication process is encrypted, you should have a Virtual Private Network (VPN) established between your Master (Main) Location and your satellite locations. This should be done at the perimeter firewall for best security. This is not rocket science and most routers allow you to do this without too much effort.

For more information about this you can view this topic viewtopic.php?f=5&t=887&p=1043

Routers that support establishing a VPN are very inexpensive. Here is a link to a linksys site about routers that support establishing a VPN

In addition a VPN can be established without a static IP and this will stop you from having to incur the expense of having a static IP setup.
